Sterling Griffin of Gig Harbor, Washington, has had a long career in real estate. Currently the Chief Operating Officer of Hudson Homes in Lakewood, Washington, Mr. Griffin is an expert in land acquisition, residential construction activities, marketing, and sales. Sterling Griffin began his career in the family real estate firm James S. Griffin, Co., where he developed a national marketing plan for the company. As Vice President of Marketing, he focused on the syndication of apartment properties and retirement homes in the Puget Sound region of Washington. After leaving the family business, Mr. Griffin spent 20 years as a self-employed real estate investor and developer. Next, he returned to an executive role in real estate development when he joined Hudson Homes, LLC, a Washington residential builder specializing in quality homes near Bainbridge Island and Gig Harbor. Mr. Griffin’s career has branched out from the real estate development and syndication business in many ways. He is cofounder of Interactive Imagination, an entertainment production and development company that produced the Saturday morning cartoon Magi-Nation in collaboration with Cookie Jar Entertainment, Inc. Prepared Response, Inc., an innovator in crisis management and emergency preparedness solutions for first responders, also was co-founded by him. Since 2001, Prepared Response programs have saved lives and protected property in schools, hospitals, malls, and other public and private critical infrastructure. In addition to these entrepreneurial endeavors, Mr. Griffin founded Builder Spec Loans, LLC. Builder Spec Loans provided residential builders with construction financing through Bismark Mortgage Company, Inc. Outside of his work, Sterling Griffin has a number of interests. He enjoys fishing and college football, having played as a four-year starter on the Colorado College football team.
