Work History

Following my college graduation in 2004, I arranged three consecutive internships.  As a media intern, I collected pertinent data, wrote and transmitted all press releases, and prepared / presented programs to area schools, universities and local organizations.  As a research and marketing intern, I drafted media releases, coordinated advertising inquiries, researched and assembled news data.

CAREER EXPOSURES

Community Relations and Marketing:

Planning:  organized and scheduled financial education seminars; have been responsible for setting seminar dates, times and locations; procuring and scheduling guest speakers / presenters; coordination and preparation of seminar materials and hand-outs; drafted media advisories and arranged follow-up for conferences and events

Presentation:  prepared and conducted financial education seminars in Erie, Niagara and Chautauqua counties; assisted colleagues in moving clients through the bankruptcy process by preparing and conducting debtor education sessions; have researched and presented seminars / informational talks on various topics to area high schools, universities and local clubs / organizations

Research:  have studied demographics and accurately selected appropriate target markets; devised a system to monitor daily / weekly media hits, coordinated and organized relevant media coverage into a concise and useable format; assembled news clippings and relevant articles for management team
