After receiving his J.D. in 1965 from Boston University School of Law, Stephen Kolodny relocated to California to begin practicing family law in 1966. Stephen Kolodny is active on behalf of numerous professional organizations and widely sought after as a speaker. A Diplomate of the American College of Family Trial Lawyers, Stephen Kolodny is 1 of only 100 attorneys who hold membership in this organization. He is part of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (AAML) and sits on its Board of Governors. Stephen Kolodny has served in the positions of both President and Vice President of the Southern California chapter of the AAML, and he belongs to the organization’s membership committee. Stephen Kolodny participates in the Family Law Judge Pro Tem Program with the Los Angeles Superior Court and is one of the founders of the Los Angeles Superior Court Family Law Mediation Panel. Stephen Kolodny also holds membership in the Women’s Lawyers Association and the American Association of Family and Conciliation Courts.
