Summary

Stephen Goettle, a Financial Services Associate in the Boston, Massachusetts, office of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, has lived and worked in the greater Boston area most of his life. For his elementary education, he attended Shady Hill School, a nearly century-old independent day school on 11 acres in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Stephen Goettle proceeded to secondary school at The Roxbury Latin School. Established in 1645 by John Eliot, a Puritan missionary to Native Americans, Roxbury Latin holds the distinction of being the oldest continuously operating school on the continent. In 2004, Mr. Goettle moved to Durham, North Carolina, to attend Duke University. There, he majored in Economics, with minors in Environmental Science and English. Stephen Goettle participated actively in undergraduate life, joining the Greek Judicial Board as a Justice, serving as an Advisory Counselor to first-year students, taking part in the Study Abroad Program, and winning election to the presidency of Gilbert-Addoms residence hall. Stephen Goettle also instructed fellow undergrads as a Teaching Assistant in the course “Statistics 103: Probability and Statistical Inference,” a calculus-centered introduction to statistics for which he helped build the syllabus, administered lab assignments, and tutored students during office hours and review sessions. By maintaining a 3.85 grade point average (GPA), Stephen Goettle earned his Bachelor of Science magna cum laude from Duke.Stephen Goettle performed several off-campus jobs while still an undergraduate student. For much of 2007, Kaplan, Inc., the test preparation company, employed him as an instructor for students expecting to take the LSAT exam. He also had a summer internship as a Consumer Mediator in the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office, and worked three years as a Camp Counselor for sixth graders at the summer day camp run by the Buckingham Browne & Nichols school in Cambridge. From 2009 to 2010, Stephen Goettle completed Master’s degrees in Business Administration and Accounting at Northeastern University in Boston. PricewaterhouseCoopers hired him for their Boston office at the start of 2010, and he has worked there ever since.
