successful companies in diverse industries. He has served as the Chief Executive Officer of Acme Cigar Products and Neptune Marine Systems, Inc., which sells products ranging from satellite communication devices to turbine propulsion systems. For two decades, he operated Abel General Contracting and Development, specializing in home remodeling and condominium conversion projects in the Palm Springs area. Stefan Abel also spent 14 years running California Kettle Corn Company, a snack food producer. Since 2005, Stefan Abel has directed Abel Energy, LLC, which produces green energy technologies. Located in Cathedral City, California, the firm operates at the forefront of bio-fuel production. As Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Abel maintains the goal of reducing the dependence of consumers and businesses on fossil fuels. To accomplish that objective, Mr. Abel plans to create North America’s first self-sustaining plant that entirely integrates solar, wind, bio-diesel, and diesel-electric energy. Powered solely by the wind and sun, the bio-diesel facility will produce clean energy. He intends to sell any excess energy the plant generates to the regional transmission grid. Eventually, Mr. Abel expects to see similar projects spread to rural communities in the Unites States and other countries, generating employment opportunities and stimulating economic growth. To that end, he already has identified several sites in developing nations to build small-scale bio-diesel production centers. Working with Southern Cross Management Systems (SCMS), he anticipates constructing a bio-diesel plant on an outlying island in Fiji. The facility would operate using local coconut oil.
