Ascended from Platoon Leader to Battalion Signal Officer / Automation Officer, 319th Military Intelligence Battalion to Executive Officer then Company Commander for a 260-person communications and maintenance company of the 319th Military Intelligence Battalion and finally Brigade Network Engineer 35th Signal Brigade.Managed a distributed communications network of more than 18,000 nodes across a 100,000-person user base.Oversaw the implementation of integrated high-speed, high-resolution military intelligence graphic systems linked via satellite uplinks across the XVIIIth Airborne Corps.

Holding responsibility for all account management, delivery, product development and technology strategy, for an emerging travel technology & services company, experiencing 140% per annum growth. CIO for $3.1 billion media and search company.Reporting to the CEO, and holding responsibility for a $120M budget; provided leadership on all technology issues to 7,500 person media and search engine marketing company. Leading a technology organization of over 800 staff comprised of application development, operations, PMO, business integration, product management and internal systems.Reduced cost of technology delivery by over 15% and lead the outsourcing of all legacy IT operations and development.Launched the company’s integrated digital media platform and architecture on open source technologies (Linux / blades), creating a multi-product environment for multiple forms of advertising and search marketing.Ran and managed, and built an advanced research lab focusing on search logic, fuzzy search and products for SEM and SEO.

CIO for $4 billion travel technology company.Reporting to the President and CEO, CIO for $3.5 billion line of business supporting global travel and ecommerce technologies with $300 M annual technology budget and a global technology organization of over 1200 staff.Provided leadership and counsel on all technology issues to 8,500 person company in 140 countries across 3 lines of business, including 17 online retail brands such as Orbitz and for all application, infrastructure and product management for two primary lines of business, airline solutions and global travel agencies.Lead delivery of multiple near shore and off shore application shops and global support centers, with focus of reducing costs and improving service. Spearheaded major technology and organizational initiatives, achieving global alignment, while leading the transformation from a pure application and product shop to an IT Services shop.

Managed a global organization with support staff in more than 32 countries, with $50M P&L responsibility.Oversaw multiple financial trading floors and the back office infrastructure at key financial centers in Tokyo, New York, Sao Paulo, London, and Frankfurt.Directed complete global infrastructure deployment and managed infrastructure functions.Led the migration from a host-based SNA network to a full mesh IP network over frame for all branch and main office locations (2000+).Established and implemented all primary infrastructure disciplines to include change management, capacity and performance processes, application integration and testing, and ISO 9000 certification.
