    Projects Undertaken

    Title: 

    SENSING AND LOCATING CRACKS IN RAILWAY TRACK

    USING MEMS VIBRATION SENSORS AND GPS.

    Description:

    Our project “ SENSING AND LOCATING CRACKS IN RAILWAY TRACK

    USING MEMS VIBRATION SENSORS AND GPS ” is a crack locating system

    which senses cracks in railway track and sends the alert signals to the loco pilot.

    This automated system is implemented using Microcontroller which controls the

    MEMS.

    These sensors through the amount of vibration taking place in tracks detects the

    surface and internal cracks in the tracks and locate the exact positioning using the

    GPS. The location where the crack is sensed is transmitted to the control room

    through a Zigbee wireless transmitter.
