25th June 2007 – 22nd November 2007 : Training at Infosys, Mysore

Extensive training (including mini-projects in all) in C, UNIX, RDBMS, SQL, ORACLE, JAVA, JSP, HTML/JavaScript, Banking Fundamentals during 5 months of basic orientation.

Scored an overall CGPA of 4.5/5 during the 5 months training.

 26th November 2007 – till date : Project at Infosys, Hyderabad

Undergone functional training in banking domain and Finacle software.

Working as a developer in Universal Banking Solution (popularly called Finacle)

Role : Design, Development and Testing

Responsibilities: Design and development of character mode screens (UNIX) and browser supported screens (JSP) in the banking software.

Modules Developed and Released

Patch Development for the Software: This mainly deals with development and reconciliation of patches in the base version of the software.

Developed an interface in which third party software would interact with FINACLE to show signature of a customer.

Designed and developed on product enhancements, based on client’s requirements. This includes - Enhanced cross currency transactions in RMI (Read media Input – Used for uploading large number of instruments) menu option. Enhanced to display all the related signatures of a Joint account when inquired. Developed user interface to display ATM card details in a menu option. Enhanced a character menu option to display duplicate demand drafts.

Designed customized scripts based on client specific requirements.

Developed a menu option to add/modify/verify/inquire a ECS mandate entered by a user taking care of the complete business functionality.

Provided patches to National Bank of Ras Al Khaimah (UAE) and The National Bank of Umm Al Qaiwain (Dubai) and resolved their issues.

Providing patches to DBS China and resolving their issues.

During this tenure I was given the responsibility to ensure that freshers joined in the team are guided. I was actively involved in all the learning sessions that Infosys conducted. I conducted knowledge sharing sessions in the team wherein I was responsible in sharing fundamentals of Loan module and few debugging skills. I was rated the best among my team mates during appraisals.

Implementation Team Activities

Into implementation activities of Standard Bank, South Africa. Working in Johannesburg, SA as center team and resolving implementation issues raised by Standard Bank – Nigeria, Namibia, Uganda, Botswana and Tanzania. Track lead of Operations and CASA/TD module. I directly interact with client to gather their requirements and help fixing team in issues raised by the bank.

Also work on the integration issues that come in pricing module. The third party interfaced is TBMS (SUNTECH product) and I work on all related bugs and design issues related to this.

I emerged as a critical resource for offshore support team providing the minute details of the issues reported and in most cases providing the fix required from onsite. This helped the bank in getting the critical and most complex fixes delivered on time which under normal circumstances would have become a burning issue for SIT/UAT progress and completion. My commitment, hard work was appreciated by Bank support leads, testing team (WIPRO), PMD and my onsite team mates.
