Systems Analyst - Systems Integrator

Trimble Navigation Ltd.

I gather and document system requirements. I model work flow processes via wire framing, I work directly with developers to resolve issues that arise in the programming logic and collaborate with fellow teammates to finalize solutions to satisfy requirements. I play a significant role in the design process of the application interface and I conduct thorough testing to ensure proper functionality and validate data routing consistently throughout the entire SDLC process. I provide detailed feedback with suggestions to potential obstacles. I prepare client-side data and conduct ETL into the backend database.

I setup the client-side environment configuring the Windows Servers, installing and configuring windows components typically Internet Information Services (IIS). I setup, configure and administer SQL Server, configuring replication specifying the articles and direction, specifying permissions along with reporting services. I configure the mobile environment and connect them as subscribers. I create the groups and set the appropriate permissions based on position. I design and develop business intelligence reports and publish according to change control and scheduled time of deployment. I provide post deployment support on-site and remote. I recommend and implement high availability solutions based on budget and availability needs. I recommend server configurations for best I/O performance.

Information Technology Analyst - Programmer II / User Technology Specialist

City of Phoenix

I held two positions while at the City of Phoenix, starting as a User Technology Specialist serving in the Management Information Systems Division of Water Services. I was later promoted to an Information Technology Analyst - Programmer II with the Water Department supporting Distribution and Collection Divisions, later to return to Management Information Systems as part of the Application Support Team.

As a User Technology Specialist my primary duties entailed supporting desktop user systems, connectivity, peripheral equipment and applications. I tracked my daily support via Remedy and held the highest support stats continuously during my time spent. I tested potential system and provided detailed reports of my findings and offered my suggestions based on the need, performance, capacity and expansion. I created department images to prepare for mass rollouts to include required software and configurations based on the individual divisional needs and in some special yet rare occasions I created system images on an individual basis.

I assisted with the design and implementation of the Field Work Order Management System that replicated to 200+ mobile subscribers among 12 remote locations. I supported the backed database powered by Microsoft SQL Server 2000 and designed several performance management reports via Reporting Services. I administered the Asset Management Enterprise system and performed database administration.

As an Information Technology Analyst – Programmer II I became more involved with SQL Server Administration and Business Intelligence development. I was designated as the primary support for the Field Work Order Management system and in charge of change control. I implemented GIS and synchronized the GIS from ArcGIS SDE to the mobile work force alleviating the need for paper maps. I maintained the map maintenance document via ArcGIS Desktop and management the GIS sync by adding and removing featureclasses. I investigated and resolved GIS and replication synchronization conflicts.

I designed a web based .NET application that assisted our helpdesk with password resets, data deletions and data recovery for our CMMS and Work Order Management systems. I developed video training materials that illustrated step by step processes of certain job functions. Following a strict change control I ensured that all operating system hotfixes, service packs and releases were tested thoroughly against our staging server before scheduled release to production.

During my time at CLH International, Inc. also known as ACT Computer solutions I wore many hats and served in several positions.

As a Helpdesk Technician my duties were as followed: receiving in-bound support call with post support follow up. Generated support request and assignments to field technicians according to geo-location and skill set. I developed and reviewed daily reports for statistical analysis and performance measuring.

As a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) Technician my duties included testing system components that were returned from the field to identify the potential defects. Depending upon the outcome I would arrange replacement via vendor channel and issue a fully detailed report of the entire test that was conducted along with the results. I maintained a parts closet and kept inventory of system components ranging from high platform server boards to system bezels and CPU fans.

As a field technician I provided onsite support, troubleshooting system components, operating system, network and software issues. I devised and executed plans that migrated entire facilities from Windows 98 platform to Windows 2000. I provided transition training to clients from audiences ranging from management to IT personnel to end users. I developed and deployed dual-boot configuration systems for client training to aide in the testing process to prepare migration to Windows XP from Windows 2000.

As the Technical Support Lead my duties included preparing systems to meet Microsoft WHQL certification. I designed company branded OEM Pre-Installation Kit restore media to meet specific criteria of large order systems. I setup, configured, maintained, networked and supported computer systems. I setup, configured and deployed server systems to meet enterprise requirements running RAID configuration 0, 1, V and 10. I provided 3-Tier support for our field staff, RMA, helpdesk and clients.
