Owned and operated full-service family diner.  Took over an ailing business and turned a profit from day one. All facets of restaurant management, including, personnel (hired and managed a team of 20), scheduling, ordering, cooking, cleaning, training, customer service, accounting, banking, payroll. maintenance and repairs.

Co-managed, with my spouse,  a World-Class RV Resort ( 10 acres).  Handled all facets of grounds and building maintenance and repairs.  Managed a crew of 10, landscape design and implementation, irrigation installation.  Was instrumental in park expansion project, wherein land was developed into 20 more paved and landscaped rv pads.

NOTEWORTHY:  Turned a "nice" RV park into a Top Rated (by Good Sam) Destination RV Resort, ranking in the top 10 parks in the nation (out of 1,600 parks).  No other manager or management team in the history of the company was able to attain this score.  We were able to achieve it and sustain it for the entire duration of our time with the company.

Co-managed a full-service, franchise restaurant with my spouse. Oversaw operations of 125-seat facility averaging over $6,000 daily food and alcohol sales, offering breakfast, luncheon, dinner service. Supervised staff of 30 employees. Monitored food costs, effectively communicated with chef and prep staff regarding costs. Prepared and submitted weekly, monthly and quarterly reports to owners.

NEWTON CONSTRUCTION AND PAINTING:  

Founded and staffed a crew of up to 8 men.  Work primarily consisted of contract maintenance work and painting of bothresidential and commercial properties (Corpus Christi, TX).

REALTOR:  

I became a licensed Oregon Real Estate Salesperson at age 18.  I eventually acquired over 60 residential rental properties,which I managed and maintained myself.  Several years later I attained my Broker's License and opened my own office.
