SoftSwitching Technologies was a venture capital funded technology company providing power quality solutions for OEM, industrial and utility customers. Products included a web based power quality monitoring system and a dynamic voltage sag correction system using advanced inverter technology.

- Developed strategic plan and channel strategy for VP of Sales.

- Recruited, trained and managed a representative sales network.

- Managed customer service and technical support functions.

- Implemented CRM system company-wide.  

- Developed and grew automotive and semiconductor verticals. 

- New customers included: General Motors (adopted power monitor as companywide standard), Honda,  Intel, Hynix, Motorola, Applied Materials and KLA.

Generac Power Systems

Joined GENERAC’s newly formed Telecommunications Group as a National Accounts Manager. The Telecommunications group was responsible for developing corporate relationships to influence the specification of GENERAC as their choice for backup power at remote cell sites.

- Influenced corporate level decision-makers at national telecommunications accounts including AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, and Nextel.

- Grew Telecommunications sales via dealer network $5M in two years.

- Grew direct business via cable telephony OEM’s by $1.5M in two year.

- Co-developed strategic plan to target new telecommunications group.

Recruited by Hammond to develop and manage an OEM sales channel. As a Regional Sales Manager I developed a team of Independent Sales Representatives to generate new industiral OEM sales for Hammond’s transformer division.

- During tenure generated $14M in new sales.

- Surpassed annual sales targets for six consecutive years.

- Developed and executed strategic plan increasing business from $14 to $28 M

- Recruited and developed representative network to increase penetration of the industrial OEM markets

- Responsible for successful green field development of large OEM accounts including; Rockwell,  General Electric, Square D, Westinghouse, Cutler Hammer, Robicon (SIEMENS Medium Voltage), Mitsubishi, Bucyrus Erie, SIEMENS.

Recruited by Siemens into their Engineering Sales Training program out of The University of Michigan. The program involved a mix of direct field sales experience and product training at various manufacturing locations. At the conclusion of the program I was assigned and covered parts of Detroit and “Thumb” area of Michigan for the Energy and Automation division.

Primary responsibilities included

- The sales electrical distribution equipment to wholesales electrical distributors.

- The improvement of SIEMENS distribution in the Detroit area.

- Bidding and negotiating large construction projects.

- Influencing consultants to specify SIEMENS on large commercial projects.

- Performed end-customer and distributor training.

- Organized promotions and sales events.
