• Investor Presentations & Investment Funding.  Delivered persuasive presentations to investors – successfully raising US$300K angel investment in early 2006 and another US$200K in early 2008.

• Business Growth. Developed 500K registered users from 170 countries; top 5 countries are China, United States, India, Norway, and UK. 

– Achieved recommendation in iPhone Web-app store. 

– Generated user loyalty of 27% quarterly, 27% monthly, and 26% daily.  

– 80% of traffic is derived from mobile phones, 37% of visits are generated by notifications and invitations, and 73% of daily visits are created by new visitors.

Hurray Solutions

Spearheaded corporate business development initiatives to penetrate China wireless value-added services marketplace for leading provider of music and music-related products such as ringtones, ringbacktones, and truetones to mobile users in China over mobile networks and through the Internet. Built strong business development force of 30 people; provided leadership across functional teams, including sales, product marketing, project management, and R&D. Reported directly to CEO. 

• Bid Wins. Led corporate business development team in collaborating with product/development groups to win 3 consecutive expansion bids of China Unicom over 2 years – successfully building up WAP service platform with the capacity of supporting 15M subscribers worth US$75M. 

• Vendor Qualification. Won qualification from China Telecom to be one of 4 selected vendors for constructing forthcoming 3G wireless value-added service portal.  

Strategic Partnerships.  Cultivated partnerships with China mobile carriers (China Mobile, China Unicom, China Telecom, etc.) and with international software/system providers (Microsoft, Oracle, IBM, SUN, HP, CISCO, Veritas, EMC, etc.). 

• Market Share Gains. Expanded Hurray’s market share via partnership with Microsoft.

Member of the Asia Pacific management team of company acquired by data storage leader EMC for $21B in September 2006. Instrumental in driving success of emerging technologies (RSA SecurID, ClearTrust, Keon, Mobile) across China Mainland. China Telcos began upgrading SHD 2.5G infrastructure to 10G level –Nortel captured roughly 80% of all bids (1999).

Member of the Network Solution Group (later spun off as Lucent Technologies) handling ongoing development, management, and maintenance of accounts. Managed sales activities for complete Lucent optical product line in 3 provinces. 

• Key Contract Wins. Won 3 provincial contracts (total value of $35M) for 2.5G SDH transmission systems (1994). 

• Market Share Gains. Contributed to teams’ wins nationwide – resulting in dominance of 90% of China Mainland 2.5G SDH market share (1994). China Telos began deploying 2.5G across the nation in 1994 to replace PDH technology – AT&T NSG (later Lucent Technologies) earned 93% market share of 1st year nationwide deployment, beating all major competitors (Nortel, Siemens, Alcatel).
