GIrls Club Soccer Coach

  • I have moved my teams up from lower levels to the highest levels of club soccer.
  • I facilitate learning in practices and develop strategies for games, while coordinating schedules, organizing meetings, designing a set of good habits for my players to implement, while managing team budgets with my treasurers. 
  • I have improved my teams' on-the-field performance, won college showcases, accelerated their learning curves, minimized defeats, defined goals, and set them on a path for success.
  • 100 % of my eldest club team went on to four year colleges and universities.

Head Men's Soccer Coach

Occidental College
  • With two recruiting classes we attained the best Men's Soccer season since 1988, and have placed several players on the 1st and 2nd Team All-SCIAC and All-Region Team.
  • In the 2011 and 2012 seasons our team won an NSCAA Team Academic Award.
  • I am responsible for the recruitment of qualified student-athletes, maintaining a winning record, making the game and practice schedules, fundraising, managing an operational and Tiger Club budget, hiring my staff, monitoring academic success, and ensuring that the young men in my program participate in several volunteer and community service projects throughout the year.
  • I directly work with admissions in the reading and understanding of transcripts, the overall application process, and the financial aid department.

  • In 2008, the boys soccer team won the most games it ever had and the team went to the CIF Semi-Final for the first time in the school's history.
  • I selected the entire coaching staff, implemented successful strategies and life lessons, while improving the program's stature while working as a Division Coordinator for CIF.
  • Prior to Brentwood, at Milken Community High School, we had the biggest turnaround as well with a 22-1 record in my first season, as I have led two programs to the best seasons in school history.

  • I was a member of the Division One Mens Soccer Team from 2001-2004, garnering All-League and All-Academic honors.

Summary

Containing a positive energy, I am a tremendous mentor for young adults, and as a former professional athlete, my competitive spirit is easily noticeable.  I have led every institution to its best seasons and will continue to do so at Pomona with continual hard work and enthusiasm.  My skill set includes:  passion, honesty, magnetism, sincerity, and a knack for success.I have experience as a Collegiate Head Coach, I work with girls at the club level, I work at a very rigorous academic institution currently within the NCAA, I am a Southern California product with a Master’s Degree and a High Level Coaching License, and will be relentless in my pursuit of ultimate success for this program.

Awards and Skills

  • In 2005, Cal State Northridge awarded me an Outstanding Graduating Senior Award, granted to me for my contribution in both the classroom and athletic field. 
  • In 2006, the History Department awarded me the Rena Vassar Award which they give to the graduate student with much promise and who has done outstanding research.
  • I have my National "B" Soccer Coaching License.
