Currently I serve as full-time faculty and Graduate Chair for the School of Nursing at Anderson University and one day a week as a nurse practitioner external to the University.  I feel I have strong leadership qualities and people skills that allow me to serve students and the University in a positive fashion.  In addition, my service to the profession as a Nurse Practitioner allows me to keep my advance practice skills current for myself and for my students.

Currently serving needs of elederly clients in a local longterm care facility and post acute care facility. Job duties involve routine visits to monitor chronic medical conditions, acute care of health issues, and monitoring of labs and diagnostic testing as needed.

Assistant Professor of Nursing/Graduate Chair

Anderson University

Currently serving as a full-time Assistant Professor in the School of Nursing.  In September 2016, I assumed the role of Interim Graduate Chair in the School of Nursing and in January of 2017 I was appointed the permanent Graduate Chair.   My current teaching duties include student advisement, course instruction, and various committee involvements.  In my Graduate Chair role, I am helping to oversee a newly developed graduate program, assisting with clinical placement of students, and ensuring regulatory guidelines are followed as we seek our initial accreditation for the graduate programs. Since assuming the role as Chair, I have helped to write two self study manuals for initial MSN and DNP accreditation and participated in a 10-year reaffirmation visit with our regional accrediting body, SACSCOC.

Full-time Family Nurse Practitioner in a private family practice setting serving patients of all ages.  In addition, I treated patients on-site in industry settings, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and drug and alcohol detox facilities. I also helped to educate staff and facilitate integration of the practices first electronic health record system.
