Currently I serve as full-time faculty member teaching in both undergraduate and graduate level nursing programs as well as the Interim Graduate Chair in the School of Nursing at Anderson University.  I feel I have strong leadership qualities and people skills that allow me to serve students and the University in a positive fashion.  My service to the profession as a Nurse Practitioner in an emergency department setting allow me to keep my advance practice skills current.

Currently working one day a week in the Emergency Department both independently and in collaboration with Physicians diagnosing and treating minor illnesses.

Assistant Professor of Nursing

Anderson University

Currently serving as a full-time Assistant Professor in the School of Nursing.  In September 2016, I assumed the role of Interim Graduate Chair in the School of Nursing. My current teaching duties include student advisement, course instruction, and various committee involvements.  In my Interim Graduate Chair role I am helping to oversee a newly developed graduate program, assisting with clinical placement of students, and ensuring regulatory guidelines are followed as we seek our initial accreditation for the graduate programs.  In addition I practice one day a week in an Emergency Department setting in order to maintain my clinical skills and Advance Practice certification.

Full-time Family Nurse Practitioner in a private family practice setting serving patients of all ages.  In addition, I treated patients on-site in industry settings, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and drug and alcohol detox facilities. I also helped to educate staff and facilitate integration of the practices first electronic health record system.
