Responsibilities

  • All promoters are independent contractors engaged in their own separate business pursuits.  As a promoter I manage my own business, view online tools, review the calculation and payment of commissions, and access previous records of promoter purchases.

Responsibilities

  • Care for critical patients needing emergency medical service
  • Perform an accurate assessment, recognize potentially life threatening conditions, and intervene per Air-Evac protocols.
  • Cases that are transported require that the nurse be trained in performing medical treatment skills including IO placement,  oral Intubations, and pneumothorax decompression.  All techniques are performed under direction of the medical director.
  •  Specific knowledge is needed in caring for a variety of patients including those that require treatment for CVA, Respiratory distress/failure, Altered LOC, Obstetrical Emergencies, and trauma.
  • Safety Representative resposibilities included that I led the monthly safety meeting with all AE staff members reviewing policy and safety issues. This required me to be easily approachable by my peers with safety issues. As the representative I was timely in submitting the required monthly minutes.
  • AHA instructor requires successfully completing the training course. I instruct a group on the team concept, conduct a peer evaluation of another student using the Megacode through a skills testing checklist and successfully remediate the students. 
  • AHA course director requires an AHA instructor to be responsible for course content, scheduling and faculty assignments, and registration. All pre-course arrangements, course logistics and post course paperwork are the responsibility of AHA ACLS coordinator. In addition to meeting the AHA requirements for a Course Director Air Evac requires that individuals wanting to become a course director must complete which of the following: Air Evac Clinical Instructor Training Program with resume on file, be in good standing with the Training Center, obtain letters of recommendation from your Program Director and a Training Center Faculty with Air Evac EMS Inc.   
  • NAEMT PHTLS instructor is responsbile for communicating courteously and effectively with a diverse group of course participants, coordinators, instructors, affiliate faculty, and other adjunct faculty.

  • Clinical preceptors provide personalized bedside training. I mentored and provided personal support and career development guidance for newly hired nurses.I was responsible for debriefing sessions.
  • As a preceptor I supported orientation of new staff to the Seton hospital system. The preceptor plays a significant role in the competency development and job satisfaction of a new staff member. I addressed strategies to promote critical thinking, manage conflict, and gave and received feedback.
