Lead daily Cerebrovascular Team hospital rounds for a multidisciplinary physician group.  Make daily rounds on inpatient service covering approximately 25-30 patients each day, both independently and with Attending physicians.  Admit, manage, and discharge complex cerebrovascular and neurosurgical patients in the neurocritical care ICUs, intermediate care unit, and hospital wards.  Perform history and physical examinations for neurosurgical and neurointerventional pre-operative evaluations.  Obtain informed consent for neurosurgical and neurointerventional procedures in English and Spanish.  Obtained DEA number in an effort to improve efficiency and timeliness of inpatient hospital discharge process.  Perform inpatient hospital consults.  Serve as liason between neurocritical care, neurointerventional, and neurosurgery teams to coordinate treatment plans.  Provide education to registered nurses on various neuroscience-related topics in the acute care setting.  Adjunct Faculty appointment at Emory University Nell Hodgson Woordruff School of Nursing.  Serve as clinical preceptor for acute care and adult Nurse Practitioner students for the Emory University School of Nursing.  Serve as legal nurse consultant for various healthcare-related cases within the neurosurgical and neurointerventional specialties.

Coordinated, evaluated, monitored, and managed complex neurosurgical patients in outpatient clinic.  Performed and documented medical histories, physical examinations, follow-up evaluations, and telephone calls.  Provided direct patient care, such as suture/staple removals and removal of PICC lines.  Served a liaison between physicians and patients.  Appointed Clinical Team Leader for the clinical staff with functions including leading team meetings, creating staff schedules, coordinated clinical work flow for a large 12 physician group, and addressed clinical issues on ongoing basis.
