Notable transactions include disposition of Georgetown Park Mall, Washington, DC, Towson Commons, Towson, MD and joint venture of Biltmore Square Mall, Asheville, NC and H Street, NE, acquisition.  

Restructuring/Process Improvement

·        Executive mentoring and analysis of supply chain and order processing methods and significant redesign to increase order accuracy, reduce backorders and improve the management and handling products throughout the supply chain for CPG company.   ·        Analyzing and documenting existing business processes and implementing process improvements and developing a new hire onboarding process and performance review process for rapid growth whole loan mortgage investor.   ·        Led re-engineering of back-office operations departments focused on customer service, including order entry, procurement, credit services, customer database management, contract renewal, service dispatch, and account receivable research.   ·        Reorganized $30MM kiosk printer manufacturing division.  Closed and relocated manufacturing facilities and restructured engineering, procurement, assembly, and distribution functions, resulting in EBIT increase of over 30% in 18 months.   ·        Led corporate reorganization and aggressive inventory management program that resulted in an EBIT increase from $50,000 per year to $12MM over a three year period.   ·        Developed and implemented standard operating and financial processes, including project tracking and reporting, monthly financial close processes, and financial and operational reporting package for commercial real estate developer.    ·        Implemented Sarbanes Oxley compliance program, obtained recertification of ISO 9001-2000 quality standard and instituted corporate wide quality initiatives and process improvements.  Developed best practices and benchmarking metrics for critical job functions and created supplier rating process. All with the achieved goal of increasing revenue by decreasing internal costs and rework errors.   ·        Implemented health and safety programs, and sourced and implemented new benefits programs, including medical and dental plans, 401K plans, PTO program and employee reward programs for 800 person nationwide company.  Reduced healthcare cost and administrative expense increases by 50%.  


·        Developed all financial and HR systems, developed business rules and processes; negotiated and closed acquisition of the AutoZone site in H Street NE; negotiated and closed a development partnership for the redevelopment of the Biltmore Square Mall, Asheville, NC; and obtained issuance of a Washington DC EB-5 Regional Center for INS immigrant investor program.   ·        Led execution of start up retail specialty finance company focused on the life premium finance industry from concept to the creation of a pipeline of transactions representing over $30MM in loans upon funding.  Built third party sales channel, insurance carrier approved program and investor approved underwriting criteria and loan documents.   ·        Led rapid year over year revenue and EBIT growth through enhanced sales activities and streamlined contract to funding processes for retail lottery and structured settlement receivables purchaser.  Delivered year over year revenue growth of over 60% and EBIT growth of over 50% in 2004 and 2005.   ·        Created and executed market entry strategy for retail structured settlements receivables purchaser.  Launched new business line in Q1 2006 and grew sales and operations staffing from start up to over 40 sales associates and processing personnel and deals funded to over 80 per month.   ·        Executed corporate change initiative to improve customer satisfaction; identified operational and cultural issues limiting software system integrator’s achievement of revenue and EBIT goals and developed action plans, metrics and teams responsible for driving continuous improvement and a passion for customer service throughout the organization.
