Utilization Program Manager

Manage and coordinate the utilization study review process and prepare and analyze purchasing data to create reports that identify savings opportunities for participating hospitals.

  • Coordinate the workflow process for a group of eight clinicians, contracting managers and research analysts to ensure completion of up to five hospital utilization studies per month
  • Developed and manage a utilization study project task and resource timeline to update utilization staff weekly on study progress, changes and issues
  • Set agendas and facilitate bi-weekly meetings to update hospital account managers about utilization study results and discuss specific hospital targets for savings opportunities
  • Created a streamlined process to collect financial, quality and surgical statistics from over 20 member hospitals for use in the utilization studies
  • Evaluate and finalize utilization data and supporting presentations for accuracy and completeness before opening studies for hospitals to review

Produced several publications about depressive disorders for adults, teens and the general population. Hired and managed freelancers and full-time staff. Developed budgets, timelines and project progress reports. Managed office technical support and weekly web updates.

  • Produced Coping with Stress brochure with distribution of over 100,000 nationwide to over 2,500 primary care physicians and nurse practitioners
  • Developed relationships with over 20 industry and coalition contacts to keep abreast of legislative developments in mental health reform and make recommendations on what actions to support
  • Managed program on workplace depression coordinating awareness information sessions for over 15 companies in Massachusetts
  • Marketed the organization through social media utilizing Facebook, MySpace, iTunes, various blog sites and google
  • Developed online moderated support groups for over 400 consumers and caregivers
  • Collaborated with Massachusetts Mental Health Coalition, 8 mental health organizations, sharing and exchanging information and briefing on state legislative concerns
