About the Organization

Oxigen Group is in electronic distribution of pre paid and post paid pins on virtual platform for all the telecom operators across India through over 45,000 retail channels. Under Its umbrella it has another company which has launched in India the first unified Vas services that is accessible on both Mobile and Web. The third company in the Oxigen group supports existing Telecom players by helping them with their outsourced requirement of value added services; site selections; network strength mapping and providing trained technical manpower for running their technical functions. The employee strength of all the three group companies is 300 comprising all knowledge workers.

Roles & Responsibilities

My responsibilities were HR Strategy formulation to meet the business needs. Executing HR plans, OD interventions, Change management, HR policies & handling various HR processes. I was also responsible for HR Budgets, Manpower planning, Recruitment at all levels and Induction, Retention strategies, Performance management, Training & Development, Industrial relations. My job entailed Compensation benchmarking; Designing acceptable and comparable compensation structures and organisation wide corrections from time to time. Compensation management. I was looking after the entire operations of the company; being sourcing and procurement of raw material from all over the world to final production and exports of the finished products. I had a team of 100 personnel mix of white and blue collar.

As Managing Director, reporting to the Chairman and the Board.

About the Organization

Capital machinery manufacturing - making machines to produce empty hard gelatine capsules, soap and detergent bar wrapping, biscuits wrapping, cigarettes wrapping.

Roles & Responsibilities

Accountable for a wide gamut of functions viz. organisational strategy formulation, domestic & international business, customer relationship management, brand management, fund management, accounts, treasury, HR, recruitment & selection, R&D, quality management, supply chain management, collections, etc.

HITL was a green field project. It is in the business of providing Landline Telephony services across Punjab by the brand name Connect.

Roles & Responsibilities

Accountable for building up a team from 60 personnel to 800 working with the organisation all across Punjab at all levels. Was responsible for building up the entire HR function from scratch. Responsibility including managing all aspects of HR functions.

Swisscom + Essar Cellphones Ltd. (Currently Vodaphone), New DelhiJan’97 to Dec’99

As Chief - Human Resources was reporting to CEO. Turnover Rs. 800 Crores.

About the Organization

Swisscom + Essar were a joint venture providing Cellular Telephony services in Delhi, Eastern UP, Rajasthan and Harayana regions. It was a green field project.

Accountable for building up a team from 80 personnel to 1,000 working with the organisation in all the four regions at all levels. I was responsible for building up the entire HR function. End to end management of HR function.

As Group Vice President – Human Resources, was reporting to the Group Chairman.

About the Organization

Company had manufacturing facilities in Noida - Surgical Cotton Dressing; in Indore - Acrylic blankets and other items and in Silvasa Biodegradable Tarpaulins.

All the three were green field projects

Roles & Responsibilities

Responsibility included staffing and building up the entire HR function for all the three manufacturing facilities. End to end management of HR function. Had to build up a team of 400 personnel white and blue collar for the three projects.

As Sr. General Manager - Corporate HR, New Projects and New Business Development was reporting to the Group President. Turnover Rs. 600 Crores

About the Organization

It was a star trading house. It had offices and factories in Delhi, Chennai, Bhopal, Russia, Germany and Singapore.

Roles & Responsibilities

Total responsibility of the entire HR Function in country and abroad. Employee strength 100 personnel put together in India and abroad. Was responsible for building up the entire HR function.

Also was responsible for driving new business development projects in Sub Saharan Africa, South East Asia and Russia. Project Value: Rs100 Crores.
