Assume responsibility assisting the marketing team with the development, co-ordination and implementation of marketing activities to achieve sales & profit targets, enhance brand equity and drive market share.

·Assist with administrative and operational Brand work
·Co-ordination of all meetings for the marketing team
Ensures Customer and Market Growth
·Participate in the formulation of the Marketing calendar, with Marketing Manager & Marketing team – planning of marketing objectives, strategies, advertising and promotional programmes and assist in the effective execution
·Assist in preparation of presentations at Brand conferences and retailer strategy meetings to ensure 100% execution
·Ensure constant learning of processes in order to assist with any operational, logistical and planning activities for colleagues who are on leave, away on business or out of the office for a specific period of time
·Ensure understanding of concepts of average rand sales, Brand business activities and how goals and targets are set for consultants
·Assist in monitoring business and analysing results to recognize areas of opportunity and growth to build and impact on overall business
·Assist in identifying PR Opportunities
·Assist PR Manager with all below the line requests such as competitions and give-aways
·Assist PR Manager with all sponsorship opportunities
·Ensure that the press contact list is kept up to date
Manages Operational effectiveness
It is important that this person is involved in all relevant areas of the Brand to understand the overall processes and can thus assist when a person is on leave or out of the office.
·Administrative and operational Brand work
oDevelop a marketing time schedule and assist the marketing manager to track all scheduled marketing calendar activities
oAssist with the planning and execution of all Brand conferences/meetings
·Co-ordinate all internal meetings as requested
·Assist in compiling induction programme for all new Brand employee orientations and arranging the necessary documentation files for them
·Assist in compiling presentations (e.g. power point)
·Assist in compilation of all retailer strategy meetings needs including presentations, files, schedules and logistics
·Assist in the maintenance of local website.
·Assist in the collating of online, sms, website and other new media opportunities
·Assist in marketing orders i.e. S1 and miscellaneous
·Conduct Brand special projects from start to finish
·Load all marketing related PO’s onto the system and follow through to finance
·Ensure that office area is tidy and free of clutter.
·Responsible for competitor analysis
·Responsible for Brand customer research/focus groups
Improves Business Processes
oAssist in the budgeting process on a monthly basis by helping the processing of all invoices and Purchase orders
oAssist in updating the budgeting consolidated sheets
oLiaise with forecasting to get monthly excess report
oCategorise the excess report
oAttend excess meeting, and assist in executing excess follow up actions
oAssist in the preparation of forecasting (newness, promotional, gwp etc) sheets with correct formulas and history information.
oAssist marketing team with the updating of the relevant documents to ensure that correct forecasting is done monthly and annually
oConsolidating GWP collateral units from the Account Executives
oCompiling GWP training booklets
oSorting and distribution of GWP T-shirts for training and Account Executives
oCourier of elements for GWP training to the coastal areas
oDaily tracking of GWP
oMonitoring AE queries for back-up gifts and following up on dispatch of these
oAssist product manager with compiling GWP training booklets
oAssist with regards to events
oCompile hampers for adhoc events
oCourier of support elements to the coastal areas
oAssist in chasing up sales team on Special Events feedback – figures and successes / challenges per event
oChecking of petrol T&E claims against petrol log ‘books’ i.e. do the distances add up
oEnsuring Account Executives / Stores receive support elements
oPlacing of orders for testers for Brand Specialist makeup cases
oPlacing of stock orders with local supplier for hygiene tools
oCI creation and faxing
oCreation of codes for collateral and packs
oOrder samples for retailers and send in time for retailer shoots/reviews
oAssist product managers with launch/promotional programmes
oCompiling of files for strategy meetings/Brand meetings
oManage promotional packoff process with forecasting
oShow excellent standards of timekeeping and attendance.
oEnsure understanding of how goals and objectives are set for individual consultants,
oEnsure understanding of how to monitor performance and follow up.
oUnderstand how PR calendar is used to showcase strategic anniversary programs to maintain maximum sell thru momentum.
oAssist with execution of all press events.
oAssist PR Manager to book meetings with key editors at least 4 times per year.
oAssist PR Manager to plan and organise press events
oAssist PR Manager to plan and organise annual brand conference.

oUnderstand stock management and assist in resolving shortages
oBe commercially aware of competitors activity and results and to use to the business advantage
oAssist in seeking new opportunities
·Assist in getting all press releases out in time and as cost effectively as possible to all editors.
·Assist PR manager to produce a monthly analysis of PR exposure for key competitors (Clarins / Lauder / Lancome)
·Asset in designing and managing control sheets with regards to all PR shipments to clients and editors.
