Key Quantifiable Achievements

  • Velosi Certification: Built up business development team from 6 to currently 13 staff and business development team turnover from USD 500,000 to over USD 4.5 million per year. Regionally I have assisted KSA increasing turnover from USD 14.6m (2011) to USD 35m (2015); Oman increasing from USD 24.9m (2011) to USD 42m (2015); UAE increasing from USD 25.4m (2011) to USD 28.3m (2015); Qatar/Bahrain increasing from USD 33.7m (2011) to USD 58m (2015).
  • BROEN Asia: Turned around a 5-year continuous negative sales curve in 2008 to increase sales from the previous year - 13% year on year and reached budget for the first time in 5 years by increased sales in Singapore, China/Hong Kong, Philippines, Indonesia, Taiwan and India markets between 10-75%. Generated decrease in overall stock value between 2007 and 2008 by USD 199,000 (51.63%) and lowered outstanding debtors by USD 180,000 (36.38%).
  • AD Resources: Successfully increased sales from 2004 to 2005 by 87% for client’s Industrial Division. For 2006 same turnover is reached by half year.
  • Alto-Densin: Developed and implemented right strategy and product mix and thereby increased turnover with 10% and gross profit with 8% in 2003. Streamlined ordering and delivery processes, successfully got outstanding debtors under control from USD 440,000 to USD 294,000 and decreased stock value by 15% by higher turnaround of products and clearing out old stock. Turnover increased from USD 1.08 million in 2002, USD 1.15 million in 2003 and USD 1.24 million in 2004.

Management consultant contract looking into the opportunities of changing a loss making BROEN Asia into a profit-making setup. BROEN Malaysia was part of BROEN A/S from Denmark which is a manufacturer of valves for flow equipment with 800 staff world-wide and a total yearly turnover of around USD 150 million. I was responsible for the Malaysia and Singapore offices with 5 and 3 staff respectively. Recommended and in charge of closing down BROEN Malaysia and transfer all activities to BROEN Singapore after rigid business analysis of the markets and opportunities in Asia, and to guarantee a continuous profitable business and existence in Asia.

ALTO DEN-SIN was bought over by Nilfisk Advance (Denmark) before I left the company. Nilfisk Advance is the world’s largest manufacturer of industrial cleaning equipment with 4,500 employees and a yearly turnover of USD 1.1 billion. Under ALTO DEN-SIN I was in charge of the Malaysia operations with initially 6 staff and later 12 staff after merging with Nilfisk Advance. Turnover under ALTO DEN-SIN Malaysia was USD 1.2 million yearly. I was mainly focused on the DEN-SIN part of the business with water blasters and ultra-high power water blasters. Managed day to day operations overlooking all areas from sales & marketing to service, administration, product ordering and warehousing with full P&L responsibility.

Kibsgaard was a Danish manufacturer of aluminum logos for the electronics industry with 120 employees in Denmark and a small manufacturing setup in China. Yearly turnover was USD 20 million. I was responsible for 25% of the total business turnover. In charge of further developing a number of major B2B customers including Sony, Philips, Motorola and Hitachi on a global basis.

Business Development Executive – Regional Management Center, EAC Technical Marketing Sdn Bhd, Kuala Lumpur – Malaysia (Sept. 1997 – April 1998)

Processing & Packaging Machinery Department:

Accountable for analysing the EAC Domino Inkjet Printers South Korea branch in regards to overall performance. Developed Action Plan for increasing business further in South Korea leading to an increase in sales of Domino bar code printers.

Material Handling Department:

Training in the EAC Hyster Forklifts department in order to get an overall understanding of the business. Developed questionnaire and built Access database for conducting a market survey for the Singapore and Malaysian markets. Built customer database in Access to be used in both the Malaysia and Singapore branch offices.

Transferred from Malaysia to take over the development of a new packaging concept consisting of 6 new agencies to the B2B industrial market. Customer subjects were for instance Shell, Castrol, BASF, Tiger Beer, and Lam Soon.
