Conduct an independent ethnographic research in the United Kingdom about immigrant populations.
The research is based on fieldwork, participant observation in numerous public and private settings, informal and formal interviews, and document analysis. The fieldwork is mostly based on the communities in Liverpool, but also includes interviews and participant observation being done in Manchester and London.
Participate many social occassions such as political meetings, event organizations, panels, cultural activites, community events, friend meetings, and family reunions; in order to provide efficient observation and gather reliable data. The interviews are being done with many informants such as artists, academics, students, activists, and shopkeepers. Psychological anthropology's theoretical and methodogical frameworks have cheifly been used.
The papers based on the research are accepted and will be presented in two peer-reviewed academic conferences:
