Simone Connolly

Elementary  Teaching Volunteer

Objective

I would like to use my extensive experience as a classroom teacher to volunteer.  I spent ten years teaching in both public and private schools in the USA and abroad. The last seven years have been spent as a volunteer in a variety of classrooms across the globe in locations where my husband is working. My most recent experience being in Lima, Peru.

I would love the opportunity to assist a classroom teacher  in  small group guided instruction for reading and writing. I also would be happy to help with bulletin boards, preparing learning materials, and copying.  I'd be happy to give the librarian a hand in shelving books and other tasks as needed.  I will be able to commit two to three hours per day, five days a week during your literacy block.
