Software Engineer

During my tenure at Satyam Computers, India, I worked as a software engineer on a project for Coles Myer Ltd which is a retail giant in Australia. The project involved handling Coles' Merchandising and Supply Chain applications.

My attachment with the Coles Myer offshore team was dual. I initially worked in one of the Merchandising applications namely Head Office Application which consisted of modules like Customer Loyalty Rewards (CLR), Financial Data Retrieval (FDR) and Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT). My activities entailed robost database management and application development and maintenance.

As I gained knowledge and experience about business logic and live data flow, I was moved to Supply Chain code enhancement activities for a Warehouse Management System (Manhattan) release. These activities involved analysis, coding and unit testing thus providing me with an opportunity to hone my coding skills.

After having successfully completing the Supply Chain assignment, I was made module-lead for the Head Office Application. In my capacity as module-lead, I enjoyed the opportunity to motivate individuals to be team-players. I also successfully completed knowledge transfer sessions for newly inducted members in the team.
