  • Pilot scale/Large scale trial with selected enzymes
  • Input giving to Protein Engineering or Formulation team for further improvement of the molecule/formulation based on the trial results
  • Secure/Process IP on novel findings (Process and Product)
  • Transfer Technology to Technical Services Team and BO after demonstration of successful Plant Trial


Designing of Lab Experiments on daily basis and leading Lab Team of four Research Associates, one Associate Scientist and Four Interns to generate data.

Handling various Carbohydrases, Proteases and Lipases for various goals viz. Biomass Hydrolysis by Cell Wall Degradation.

Analyzing the data statistically and Present to Internal and External Higher-Ups.

Scaling up of Lab technology to Plant Scale and formulating SOPs for Technology Transfer.

Leading Plant Scale Trials along with Technical Services People and Closing Mass balance in Customer/Partner’s place.

Liaisoning with Technical Services Team and Business Operation team for understanding challenges, formulating mitigation plan and alignment.

Present research work in scientific forum and International Conference.

Involved in Design of experiments, execution, data analysis and presentation.

Did Dose response and process parameter optimization of enzymatic hysrolysis for maximize C6 Sugar yield from Pre-treated Biomass (Corn cobs, Sugar cane bagasse, corn stover) in flask, bench and pilot scale.

Established Surfactant aided enzymatic process with superior hydrolysis and sugar yield.

Developed detoxification process using Ion exchange resin and polyelectrolyte applications for C5 stream generated during pre-treatment for better fermentability by the selected microbes.

Hands-on lab-scale fermentation including independently setting up and operating a fermenter and troubleshooting scenarios that arise during fermentation [Scale: flask, 5L, 20L, 100L].

Designing and performing biochemical assays of enzymes; utilizing HPLC methods, Spectrophotometer, electrophoresis and basic biotechnology lab equipment to analyze samples from lab and industrial pilot scale experiments.

Performing compositional analyses of biomass using FT-IR, HPLC to assist in development of cellulosic biofuel technologies;

Performing statistical analysis of data and working with aseptic cell culture and microbiology techniques.

Anaerobic single pot fermentation of lignocellulosic substrate to ethanol using proprietary microorganism.

Associated for the development of membrane based enzyme recovery and reuse (ERR) model for the production of lignocellulosic hydrolyzate.
