Arnon Shorr

Founded OxRock Productions in 2005 to produce independent films and corporate/industrial videos.  Reorganized the company as an LLC in 2010 before entering a joint-venture to produce a feature film.

Since its founding, OxRock Productions has produced or contributed to dozens of short films and videos, as well as to long-form documentaries and independent feature films.  The company is listed on IMDB, where its most notable credits can be found.

Assisted in the production of a VR music video directed by legendary music video director Matt Mahurin. Learned to set-up and operate a 6-camera VR rig while helping out with craft services, catering, G&E, art department, etc., etc. etc.

Line-producer on promotional video directed by Lior Geller, shot by emmy-winning Carlo Orecchia for tech startup Mobile Hero.

Oversees company budget, accounting and infrastructure. Produces and manages multiple productions, including promotional videos, music videos and other new media content.

Produced the 2nd season of "Jewbellish the News", a weekly comedy-news webseries.

Writing a weekly column that addresses art and aesthetics in current, classic and indie films. To-date, the column has accumulated roughly 50,000 views.

Directed award-winning feature-length contained thriller. Wrapped thirteen days of production on-time and on-budget.

Scheduled and ran the set on a two-day sci-fi shoot, both on-location and in studio. The product is a trailer for the sci-fi novel, Rymyny by Max Power.

1st Assistant Director on "Space Command: Redemption", a feature-length sci fi project featuring legends of the genre. In phase 1 of production, we shot 36 pages in three days across six different sets with numerous characters, costumes, and intricate visual effects.

Directed four episodes of the web series, "L'Chaim LA", a comedic drama about young professionals who live in the heart of a Jewish neighborhood in LA.

Produced and directed a 40-episode web series for a best-selling family therapist. The production was a studio shoot under the SAG New Media contract.

Produceda sketch-comedy web series to promote www.jewbellish.com with Hassidic comedian and web personality, Mendy Pellin. Directed several episodes, including "Mendy's Kitchen" and "Mad Mentsch" segments.You can see the series at www.youtube.com/jewbellishAs of this writing, series has nearly 200,000 views.

Worked as 1st AD and Production Coordinator on the "Traffic School" web series pilot.

Edited music video for Jewish singer "Shwekey", directed by Mendy Pellin.

Reported to veteran 1st AD, Jamar Hawkins. Assisted in AD-related tasks. Liaised between set and Hair/Makeup/Wardrobe departments during production. Helped ensure talent was prepared for their next setup.

In addition to directing theater productions and functioning as the group's multimedia advisor, Arnon manages the Jewish Theatre Workshop's finances. During his tenure, Arnon executed the organization's first fiscal policy review, and implemented fiscal accountability measures for show-specific expenditures.

Founded the SunDeis Student Film Festival, and served on its executive committee for two years while a student at Brandeis University.  At that time, festival guests included producers Stan Brooks and Marshall Herskovitz, director Sam Weisman, and professionals from the regional film industry.

Arnon produced and directed "A Modest Suggestion", on which Mr. Jaffee served as executive producer.

Worked as 1st AD on a web series pilot that Ms. Heller executive-produced, wrote and starred in.

Arnon worked for Mr. Ephron as Production Manager on the indie feature, "Benjamin Troubles", which Mr. Ephron produced and directed.

Graduated Magna Cum Laude with degrees in Philosophy and Film Studies.  The Film Studies degree is an independent interdisciplinary major which included coursework from a broad range of University departments and disciplines.  Since 2005, the University has introduced a formal Film Studies major.
