  • Ensuring that they have valid tickets to enter the Exhibition Hall for the duration of the event
  • Assisted the Event Co-Ordinator with setting up and packing up the Registration Booth.

  • Issuing registered attendants with passes to enter the Exhibition Hall

The Bowled and the Barefoot

Envied Events

Envied Events held a barefoot bowls evening event to raise funds for the Starlight Children’s Foundation. The Hollywood themed event took place on the 3rd May 2009 at a Hamilton Bowls Club. The night featured; barefoot bowls, red carpet treatment, photo opportunities, ‘celebrity’ interviews, food and beverage, roaming entertainment, a live band and prize winning opportunities, all “under the stars”.This event successfully raise $1930 and further awareness for the Starlight Children’s Foundation while providing an entertaining and sociable environment for attendees.Shontele's position for Envied Events was Risk Management and Secretary from the planning process to the live event of The Bowled and the Barefoot.

Gold Coast Airport Marathon

Queensland Events

Shontele was involved in the 2008 Gold Coast Airport Marathon in a volunteer capacity, and worked a total of 28 hours. She volunteered as a Human Resource Assistant, which entailed:-

  • Assist with daily volunteer and event personnel sign on and off procedures
  • Assist with event personnel t-shirt distribution
  • Assist with radio distribution
  • Liaising with QEGC staff members and caters to organise event personnel meal distribution
  • Incident reporting and recording

MSQuarade Ball

MSQLD

Shontele volunteered with MSQ (Multiple Sclerosis Queensland) with their annual MSQuarade Ball.

Her duties entitled:

  • Wearing a themed costume
  • Ushering guests to their tables as they entered the venue
  • Ensuring that all questions that the guests had were assisted
  • As well as selling raffle tickets to the guests.
