Reporting to the Head and Directors of IT and Business in Aviva, handling a portfolio size of over £5 million p.a., driving strategy and operations to enable high quality service delivery across e-commerce, mobility and core insurance platforms including i90, Polisy and Guidewire. Was responsible for RAC’s portfolio till its split with Aviva in 2011-12. Additionally, responsible for execution of key projects within my portfolio. I have a team of six project managers and development team of over 90 across onshore and offshore within my portfolio.
My role has involved:• Managing relationships with the view of improving organization and team relationshipswith the customer IT and business teams.• Advising the customer in defining an IT strategy. Conceptualizing and architecting thesolution strategy as well as identifying the associated benefits. Examples include solutionstudy for Creditor roadmap definition, process automation via BPM Lombardi for complexcommercial lines renewal process, global instabnce of property survey managementsolution via use of MS-Dynamics.• Defining and managing service delivery, engagement models and IT contracts.• Managing different IT portfolios including E-Commerce, mobility, RAC and coreinsurance platforms across multiple business linesand being responsible for all ITdelivery in my portfolio• Managing demand projections and its supply in close conjunction with Aviva businessand IT• Managing key projects within my portfolio for Commercial and Creditor insurance business• Overall responsibility for the solutioning and delivery of multiple projects in variousmethodologies like agile, waterfall, nimble including:◦ setting up new commercial products and risks for insurance◦ setting up claims for a new income protection product in Creditor line of business
