Summary of Responsibilities: The below list of duties is not exhaustive but highlights a number of the major tasks of the post:

  • Fulfilling the role of Structural Technical Authority.
  • Provide supervision, direction and support for all Structural personnel.
  • Provide technical support to the organisation for operational support and design engineering. Work as Structural Engineer as required on conceptual, front end and detailed engineering design.
  • Ensure the Structural support provided satisfies the requirements of the Asset Cases for Safety and Performance Standards.
  • Develop and update company’s specifications, procedures, design criteria, technical standards,  and strategies.

My function includes the analysis and design of fixed and floating offshore structures topsides and jackets for inplace, installation and fatigue conditions, preparation of technical proposals for EPC projects, engineering support for construction activities. I also have experience in onshore structures design. I have site experience as a field engineer on an FPSO project, and topsides modifications, pre-engineering survey.

I have hands-on experience in structural analysis and design applications such as SACS and STAAD PRO. Familiar with drafting packages and Auto CAD. Familiar in international codes and standards such as API, AISC, & DNV.
