An accomplished academic and pharmacist, Sherif El-Refai recently received his MBA from the Hough Graduate School of Business at the University of Florida. Sherif El-Refai focused his studies on competitive strategy, global management, and marketing during his business education. He also served as president of the school’s Case Competition Club.
Prior to completing his MBA, Sherif El-Refai worked as a pharmacist in Jersey City, New Jersey. Before this, he earned a doctor of pharmacy (PharmD) at the University of North Carolina’s Eshelman School of Pharmacy in Chapel Hill. While enrolled at Eshelman, Mr. El-Refai completed clerkships in such fields as inpatient medicine, medication safety, ambulatory care, hematology, and other fields. He also actively participated in a number of professional organizations, including the North Carolina Association of Pharmacists and the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists.
Sherif El-Refai received his undergraduate degree in pharmaceutical sciences from the University of North Carolina (UNC). During his career, he has engaged in clinical and research work at several major research facilities, including the Center for Pharmacogenomics at the University of Florida and the Institute for Pharmacogenomics and Individualized Therapy at UNC.
