A financial advisor, accountant, and attorney with nearly three decades of experience in his field, Sheldon Geller most recently served in a consulting capacity with Focus Financial Partners, LLC, in New York City. Commanding an impressive professional background, Mr. Geller began to lay the foundations for his career while an undergraduate at the New York University College of Business and Public Administration, where he majored in Management and Public Accounting. A frequent presence on the Dean’s list, member of the Beta Alpha Psi honor society, and recipient of the Founder’s Day Award, Sheldon Geller graduated cum laude from NYU in 1980 and subsequently enrolled at Fordham University School of Law. Over the next three years, Mr. Geller continued to build upon his academic achievements at Fordham, ultimately graduating with his Juris Doctor in 1984. From there, Sheldon Geller went on to pass the New York State Bar, earn his New York CPA designation, and join the team at Ernst & Whinney as an Employee Benefits Consultant. Combining his professional expertise in law and finance, Mr. Geller next became an Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) attorney, in which capacity he worked for such firms as Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP and Patterson Belknap Webb & Tyler LLP.With the formation of Geller Group in 1987, Sheldon Geller launched a multifaceted investment advisory, ERISA law, and healthcare and insurance consulting firm, serving the needs of clients across the United States. Over the next 20-plus years, Mr. Geller expanded his organization to include such partner firms as Geller Law Group, Geller Advisory Group, Geller Consulting Group, and Sheldon M. Geller, through which he provided retirement plan consulting services. Sheldon Geller maintains current memberships in the American Bar Association’s Taxation Section, the American Law Institute, the New York State Bar Association, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the National Association of Plan Advisors, where he serves on the Editorial Board.
