Shelby Braddy recently completed four months of study in cosmetology at the Process Institute of Cosmetology in Lawrenceville, Georgia, where she trained to be a hair stylist. Prior to enrolling in cosmetology school in November 2011, Shelby Braddy worked at the Locos Deli and Pub in Sandy Springs, Georgia, devoting nearly half a decade as a server and bartender. A former high school athlete, Braddy routinely draws on the skills she learned as a member of a cross country running team, including perseverance, valor, and the importance of hard work. During her tenure as a student at McIntosh High School of Peachtree City, Georgia, Braddy earned varsity letters in swimming, cross country running, and track and field. She also served as a representative of the McIntosh High School homecoming court in both her junior and senior years.Recognized for excellence in writing, Braddy was the recipient of first place honors in a contest for French poetry sponsored by West Georgia College, now known as the University of West Georgia. Upon completion of her high school education, Braddy enrolled at North Georgia College and State University in Dahlonega, where she studied in the Department of Business Administration. Devoted to helping those who are less fortunate, Shelby Braddy volunteers regularly at food programs that serve people who are impacted by homelessness. Braddy commits her spare time to participating in local cultural activities with her friends and family and is a fan of local musical acts such as Kryptonite and The Leisurelies. Dedicated to maintaining her physical fitness, Shelby Braddy works out regularly and continues to play sports such as tennis.
