You know you’re in the right job when you wake up in the morning excited to get to your desk. That’s where I am. I love my job because…
- I genuinely enjoy learning about people’s career histories and goals. My “get-to-know-you” process often involves spending about two hours with my clients discussing their backgrounds and the qualities that they want to present. This process is fun for me; it allows me to understand my clients well, and clients often comment that it helps them to prepare for interviews.
- I’m constantly fueled by the challenge of optimally presenting my clients’ unique blends of personality and qualifications. To me, merging the elements of structure, design, and writing is both a craft and a puzzle-solving exercise. Admittedly, I’m obsessive about mastering every project and making sure that each client is pleased with my help.
- After I work with people, they tend to have a new sense of confidence about their job searches. It’s fantastic to hear their excitement when they see their new résumés, and it’s even more rewarding to learn that my assistance has helped them to be selected for the positions they want.
