Shawn Kenny has spent over a decade working in the United States military and in the private sector as security expert. In the U.S. Army, Kenny assumed varied leadership roles, eventually becoming a Senior Non-Commissioned Officer. For his effectiveness, he was awarded several decorations, including an Expert Infantry Badge in June 2001. In May 2005, Sergeant First Class Shawn Kenny earned an Army Commendation Medal for distinguishing himself as part of Coalition Task Force Phoenix III in contribution to Operation Enduring Freedom. Shawn Kenny’s leadership roles include positions as a team leader, squad leader, and platoon sergeant. As a member of Air Assault Battalion Logistics S-4, he worked as the Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge and organized the unit’s transportation planning. In addition to active combat duties, Shawn Kenny served as a project manager for an overseas deployment, processing personnel and security folders for over 100 servicemen and women. In addition, Shawn Kenny worked as a military administrator, holding responsibility for the evaluation reports, personnel actions, and financial activities of over 600 troops. Shawn Kenny also possesses qualifications to operate an array of specialized military and civilian vehicles, including armored Ford F-250 and F-350 trucks, South African Mamba armored personnel carriers (APC), and buses with capacities for up to 53 passengers. He has also been trained to employ a variety of firearms in use by the U.S. Army and other military forces. Shawn Kenny has spent over 40 hours training in Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response Standard training. These skills qualify him for his current job at CTL Transportation, LLC, where he works as a driver of chemical tank trucks.
