Manage Technical Equipment Operations of Radio Stations & Broadcast Studio Facilities. (local & remote)
Job Details: Provide 24/7 technical support for all technical equipment & systems to a variety of user abilities.
Project Management. Manage building technical operations, scheduled inspections on equipment. Visio & CAD Documentation, new installations & upgrades to building infrastructure
Manage Engineering Dept-purchases, Inventory Management, Capital budgets
Radio Production including voicing, editing, composition using non linear editing. Installation & Maintenance of wide range of AV equipment. cameras, microphones
Assist Users with technical support, personal hardware & software installs & upgrades, staff training, MS Office support for end users. remote connectivity
Maintain all Broadcasting hardware, including studios, consoles, mics, video, transmitters & field equipment. Monitor streaming audio & streaming video websites maintain all equipment for live-streaming video broadcast. Basic circuitry troubleshooting & repair including electrical component replacements, soldering, documentation and diagrams
Control4 Automation system for in house video and audio. Video & teleconferencing setups. Equipment maintenance/ troubleshooting.
Manage IP networks & all computers/servers/securities. Upgrades both software & hardware. Setup " live” location broadcasts including both audio & video Maintain in-house ip based AV system & peripherals .
On the team build of a new broadcast facility in Edmonton form the ground floor to station launch. Implementation and launch of a new radio station (102.3 FM & 99.3 FM).
Liaise with trades and contractors to maintain building systems and maintenance of infrastructure. Read building blueprints for construction & ongoing building maintenance.
Manage remote transmitter sites, generators, power tests, fail-over power transfers, backup transmitter tests. Manage building & transmitter site UPS systems.
