The objective of the project is Planning & Designing for the NBN Co passive fiber network utilizing the Type 2 Architecture. Which defines the high level architecture of the passive fiber network and applies it to the design of the NBN Co network which includes the Distribution Fiber Network, Fiber Distribution Hubs, Local Fiber Network and Fiber Allocations

He was responsible for:

·      Review of business Inputs and Maps to ensure the same are complete and good for further processing to prepare detailed design and engineering drawings

·      Forming of the clusters and access networks by considering the specifications, planning and finalize the optimized FDH/AJL locations.

·      Verification and validation of all address and updating in Spatial NET. For invalid GNAFs changing the status as ”OBSOLETED”

·      Planning of FDA based on NBN Type -2 Architecture with P2P, Allocation of fibers for Residential SDU, MDU and Commercial MDUs<o:p></o:p>

·      Grouping of homes as per the guidelines and planning the size and location of MPT using the exsisting Telstra Pits and FDH location finalization.<o:p></o:p>

·      Planning of distribution network, local network and lead in network and Designing the fiber route OSP from TFAN (Temporary Fiber Access Node) to FDH (Fiber Distribution Hub), From FDH (Fiber Distribution Hub) to AJL, From AJL to the Multiport and from multiport to PCD (Premises Customer Device).<o:p></o:p>

·      Planning of optimized locations for AJL (Access Joint loop), DJL (Distribution Joint Loop) and MPT (Multiport) etc.<o:p></o:p>

·      Placement of Poles, Pits, Multipots, and splice closures at the desired/proposed locations, preparing the schematic diagrams for each FDH, Prepare the Bill of Materials (BOM)/Bill of Quantity (BOQ). Prepare the single line/Schematic diagrams with building address and port details. Supporting the Tool development team for automation tools. Overall production and quality check responsibilities<o:p></o:p>

·      Preforming the quality checks includes validation of DSS cables and FDA Designs<o:p></o:p>

Planning and Design the FTTx network

<o:p></o:p>

·        Review of business Inputs and Maps to ensure the same are complete and good for further processing to prepare detailed design and engineering drawings for field execution. <o:p></o:p>

·        Plan the physical architecture and the logical architecture of the network based on the planning principles of the FTTx network, including the network topology and network interconnection with next layer aggregation network. <o:p></o:p>

·        Plan and design fiber feeder cable routes from OLT to S1 splitters and distribution cable routes to building entrance point in the optimise way. <o:p></o:p>

·        Planning the Logical S2 Splitter and FAT cabinet location in MDU and blocks of small buildings, finalizing the OLT, Splitter and FAT locations<o:p></o:p>

·        Planning the fiber network in the optimise way.<o:p></o:p>

·        Preparing planning and design rule base based on requirements and Planning Rules, Specifications/ Guidelines and international good practices and presenting such requirements into field execution drawings.<o:p></o:p>

·        Supporting the soft support team for developing automation tools as may be required to automate IFC drawings for meeting demanding targets. <o:p></o:p>

·        Preparing fiber cable layouts and splicing drawings based on the network architecture. <o:p></o:p>

·        Preparing termination drawings at the end facilities (i.e. at OLT Site, Fiber Distribution Terminal/ cabinet etc.), <o:p></o:p>
