Mr. Rahim co-founded SR Capital Partners in 2008. Prior to that, Shaffiq was a member of the Leveraged Finance group at Barclays Capital, in New York. During his time at Barclays Capital, he has covered several industries, including: Media/Entertainment, Industrials and Paper/Packaging. Shaffiq's experience focuses on leveraged transactions, including: Leveraged Buyouts (LBOs), Management Buyouts (MBOs), Recapitalizations, Spinoffs, and Debt Financing for Non-Investment Grade Corporates. Mr. Rahim's corporate experience includes a Business Development role for The Boeing Company's Integrated Defense Systems (IDS), based in Anaheim, CA. In this role, Shaffiq was responsible for meeting with key Defense agency personnel from the United States and Foreign Governments to sell Boeing's capabilities through long-term development contracts. Prior to Boeing, Shaffiq was a business analyst for a small Software company based in Irvine, CA. Mr. Rahim received his M.B.A. degree with a concentration in Finance and Accounting from the University of Rochester (Simon). Shaffiq also graduated with a B.S. and M.S. degree in Computer Sciences from the California State Polytechnic University.
