User Interaction Designer for intranet

Planned intranet portal design roadmap; managed intranet web standards. Performed research, analysis and user interaction design on intranet websites and applications. Conducted heuristic evaluations and consulted to intranet site owners.

  • Proposed and drove $2M dollar intranet re-design project. Developed new taxonomy and improved template layouts; increased task success and satisfaction rates. Resulted in 23% ROI over 3 years.
  • Designed IT Support self-help web-site for employees. Performed target audience research, created annotated wireframes and specifications, and developed prototypes for usability testing and presentation to stakeholders. Met target of reducing support case load 62% in first month of implementation; resulted in significant cost savings.

  • Analyzed competitor sites, industry best practices, and incorporated ideas into wireframes; streamlined registration and download task flows; targeted to increase success rates significantly.
  • Situation: Text-heavy product and purchasing pages did not have highly visible calls to action. Researched and analyzed consumer cart-to-checkout best practices. Designed new layouts, task flows and copy, expected to increase sales.
