Seth Chalmers, civil engineer and entrepreneur, has founded two companies during his career. The first, Task Engineering, was developed in 1995. Originally named Chalmers Engineering Company Inc., the name was changed 1998, with Chalmers selling his half of the company three years later.
In July 2001, Seth Chalmers created Chalmers Engineering Services Inc. After the transaction, he obtained all current Arizona Department of Transportation contracts. In addition to being the President of the company, Chalmers is also the Chief Engineer, managing all projects and directing all business operations
Professionally, Seth Chalmers is a member of the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America, Institute of Transportation Engineers, International Municipal Signal Association, and American Society of Civil Engineers.
Outside the office and the field, Seth Chalmers is highly active in his community. A member of the Brophy Dads’ Club and Mount Claret Retreat Center Board and Properties Subcommittee, Chalmers volunteers with the Boy Scouts of America (BSA), as well. As an Eagle Scout, the highest attainable rank in the BSA, he sets an example for all the younger scouts to become leaders.
Donating to charitable causes, Seth Chalmers supports Hospice of the Valley, Interfaith CM, Goodwill Industries International, Inc., and the Pat Tillman Foundation. In his spare time, Seth Chalmers likes to use his engineering skills for home improvement. When not brushing up on military history or Jesuit education, Chalmers prefers the written works of Gordon W. Prange; Edmund Morris; James Bradley; Thomas Fleming; and Raymond A Schroth, S.J.
