  • Team building and managed offshore development teams for .NET, JAVA, C, coding using Agile methodology with all the HIPAA required privacy and security
  • Earned SureScript and RX-Hub certification that's required for all ePrescription systems on the market.
  • Developed .NET (and SQL) based HIPAA compliant scalable and robust biometric enrollment and checkin system for LogistiCare, the largest Medicaid-Medicare transportation company, that process over $100k / month in transpass distribution and over 1,000 checkins per day to monitor entitled users.

  • Owned and directly managed over $5million worth of onshore and offshore project development
  • Designed and developed Ambulatory CCHIT (certification committee for healthcare information technology) 2006 certified Electronic Health Record (EHR) system (MDAware 2.2) with over million lines of source code and 4 integrated vendor systems in less than one year, under budget, and passed the 2006 CCHIT testing in record time.  The EHR was one of the first service-oriented architecture (SOA) FLEX2/Struts Web 2.0 ASP based EHR system in the market.  The EHR was Internationalized in record time for the Chinese Olympics consideration.
  • Awarded $2.5million Texas Health and Human Services (HHS) MIP (Medicaid Integrity Program) that utilized biometrics with smart card technology and real time X12.270/X12.271 eligibility for Medicaid entitlement service over the Web.
  • One of the intellectual property partner and hold patent pending biometrics workflow system
  • Directly managed offshore (the Philippines, Brazil, and Turkey) outsourced and domestic development teams and in/out bound call center operations for 7 years, dramatically reducing operational and R&D costs
  • Developed a pilot program with Canadian Health Ministry and their Health Infoway network
  • Chief architect for Web based EHR, PHR, and other health informatics solution using open-source solutions

Mental Health Research Associate

  • Developed a custom multi-relational database in MS Access that can accommodate both English and Korean languages.  It was designed to aid in analyzing very complicated qualitative questionnaire data to study depression among Korean elderly immigrants.
  • The qualitative and quantitative data was analyzed using SPSS and Mathematica.   My task included writing the results towards final publication with the principle investigating professor.
