Counselor

Childrens Aid Society

Counselor at a residential treatment facility. Duties include reviewing diagnostic residents for court hearings and monitoring their daily activities. The bulk of my daily activities are resolving issues between residents, teaching them responsibility and respect as well as helping them prepare for life outside of placement. Additional duties include controlling and monitoring community service programs and calculation of hours for probation officers.

Dispute resolution specialist and trainer for fraud investigation units. Duties included the evaluation, investigation and resolution of credit card disputes as well as training new and existing employees on HIPA procedures and policies as well as how to effectively resolve the disputes in a correct and timely manner.

Assistant store manager and commercial manager. Duties included running the day to day operations of a large retail chain including all personnel issues. Scheduled all employees and performed daily checks and balances. Performed all hiring and performance evaluations as well as terminations if needed. Petitioned commercial customers to enlarge our growth in the communities small business market.

Leasing and maintenance manager with 10 employees and 1500 commercial and residential properties in 4 states. Showed all prospective renters possible properties and performed all required paperwork. Hired and oversaw all maintenance crews for new construction units and performed supervisory position and point of contact between crews and owners of the company. Each month obtained all rental payments and performed all bank deposits and accounting duties.

Interest

I am the director of a paranormal investigation group and also write a monthly column for a internet distributed paranormal magazine.  I have been a home brewer for 3 years now and am a member of HOPS of Hagerstown.  Me and my wife a members of The Lifehouse East Church in Leitersburg, Md.

Summary

I want a career that will direct me and help me grow as a person.  I have a strong dedication to my family and all of those who count on me.  As a manager I take everything to heart and work for my employees as well as I would for my own family.

I have been a leasing manager as well as assistant manager in the retail environment.  I have had as many as 15 employees with responsiblities in interviewing, banking, and scheduling.

Typing

I can type 40-50 words per minute with little to no errors.  I have fallen off a little as I do not use this on a everyday basis anymore, but when put back into the swing of things, I can pick back up quickly.
