With nearly two decades of experience in the technical, engineering and project management fields, Mark Schollmeyer knows his strengths and what he is looking for in a career.But more importantly, Mark understands his personality, values and what drives him.

Employed by Sprint-Nextel from 1996 to 2008, Mark held various engineering roles in departments such as Power Engineering and Standards as well as Switch Engineering.Besides providing power requirements for such features as Sprint-Nextel’s 3G and 4G Network, Mark also coordinated all material and labor projects with various outside suppliers and vendors.Because of his attention to detail and understanding quality processes, Mark was among a division that provided Sprint-Nextel a Return on Investment savings of $74.5 million in 2007.

Prior to joining Sprint-Nextel, Mark worked as a Field Applications Engineer with Harmon Industries where he directed equipment installations, coordinated equipment training and provided field support for customers both domestic and international.

Mark holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electronics Technology from the University of Central Missouri and a Master’s Certification in Project Management from George Washington University/Washington, D.C.

  • Assisted in editing a large amount of Schedule 1040 Returns to provide response to taxpayers within a short period of time.

Engineer II /Project Manager



Directed the installation of low voltage DC and AC power systems in Sprint-Nextel wireless facilities for features such as WiMAX, wireless CDMA technology and 3G/4G Networks with a 100% launch-rate success and project completion within a +/- 5% budget tolerance rating.Coordinated and directed material and labor contracts with various outside vendors and suppliers that provided substantial cost savings through careful selection and quality auditing processes.


  • Awarded the Sprint Excellence Award for developing the new power engineering training manual. 
  • Awarded the 2007 ROI Award for being among an elite group of engineers and project managers who provided Sprint-Nextel a Return on Investment savings of $74.5 million. 
  • Redesigned a standard equipment rack layout for major call-center projects that reduced time engineering all 250 sites individually and saved $10,000.00 per site on large projects. 
  • Completed Facilities Engineering Management Training Program. 
  • Recognized for completing all 2003, 2004 and 2005 projects within +/- 5% forecasted vs. actual. 
  • Awarded the Sprint Excellence Award - “We Work and Win as a Team” for completing all projects for senior co-worker out on disability. 
  • Developed strong relationships with call centers as well as outside vendors for creating simple but effective installation and test procedures on Cisco 7507, 3662 and 2621 Routers in Missouri, Kansas, Texas, Minnesota, Washington and Nevada.

  • Provided quality rupture discs and rupture disc accessories to various customers in the Eastern United States that exceeded industry standards for explosion-proof equipment.

Field Application Engineer / Project Manager

G.E. Transportation (Harmon Industries)


Directed equipment installations with customers and managed medium to large scale projects in the United States, Canada, Australia, Venezuela and Africa.I served as the main point of contact for conducting on-site assistance with equipment installation, system troubleshooting and equipment training with a “hands-on approach” to railroad and transportation personnel at all levels.Directed all testing on signaling and crossing systems per customer specifications in a manufacturing facility with ISO 9000-9001 and Total Quality Management experience.

I Consistently used technical writing skills on a daily basis to create and edit technical equipment user's manuals for highway grade crossing and train inspection systems.  All manuals included detailed installation procedures as well as system trouble-shooting, wiring diagrams, parts identification, equipment purchasing information and detailed site layout for individual customer specifications. 


  • Received corporate recognition for spear-heading the re-design of the Train Inspection Systems Manual by inviting our customers to take part in the Total Quality Management processes, thus increasing our total sales of this product line by 40%. 
  • Received corporate recognition for successfully spear-heading the installation of the first train inspection system in Caracas, Venezuela. 
  • Completed the ISO 9000-9001 Certified Training Program
  • Successfully spear-heading the installation of the first train inspection system in Sydney, Australia.

While employed for over six years at Harmon Industries (G.E. Transportation Systems), Don was my Senior Field Service Engineer.

Roger Schultz

While employed at Sprint-Nextel, Schultz Brothers Electric provided labor and material on almost all large and small AC and DC electrical projects for our local and wireless telecommunications sites.

Together, Roger and I were a team in providing all necessary power requirements on Sprint-Nextel's 3G and major electical projects.
