Energy Concept District Kitzingen (Bavaria)


The district Kitzingen is developing a integrated strategy for CO2-reduction, energy efficiency and the use of renewable energy. The main topics within this project are

  • What are the potentialities of renewable energy production within the district?
  • What are the potentialities for energy efficiency?
  • What are the next steps and how can political leaders influence this process?

My responsibilities include:

PPP Project: MASS - Maintenance and Aftersales Services

Since 2010

We manage a international PPP-project (co-funded by the DEG) for maintenance and aftersales services of pv-systems in India. 

The main topics of this project are: 

  • Market entry in India 
  • Setup of demonstration systems 
  • Training courses & education on renewable energy (focus on large scale pv-systems)
  • Workshops on renewable energy

Bioenergiewettbewerb des Landes Baden-Württemberg - District Heating Systems, Biogas, Biomass and PV-Systems


For a recreational park, we developed together with the owner a 100% renewable energy strategy. The main parts have been:

eBUSInstand - Maintenance for pv-systems on industrial scale

2007-2010Together with AUDI, BASF IT-Services, Infraserv Höchst and many other industry partners the Karlsruhe based FZI develops systems and mechanisms for maintenance services on industrial scale.

The project is focused on consistent use of e-business solutions in this domain.  That is not common now but will reveal many advantages to both sides: the vendor of the maintenance services as well as the purchaser of such services. 

As a member of the consortium, Steinbeis is providing expert advise in maintenance and aftersales-services of medium and large scale pv-installations.

CER2 - Energy from renewables and regional development2003 - 2006Energy from renewables are an important factor for strengthening regional development. CER2 is the network hub for improveing competencies, information exchange and co-operation in the new Central-European economic region. The aim is to provide essential stimuli for sustained development in the energy sector.The project CER2 is a joint initiative of 14 partners from 7 European countries supported by the INTERREG III B CADSES program. As project manager my responsibilities included:

  • Idea management

  • Establishing and enabling a regional network for renewable energy and clusters for renewable energy and rational use of energy

Solar Hohenlohe Aktiv2005Using renewable energy for financing of a non-profit organization. With an investment of € 5.6 mio. about 1.23 MW of solar panels were set up in the Schwäbisch Hall district. Because of the long term feed-in-tariffs in Germany, these power plants generate a huge co-financing contribution for a non-profit organization. My responsibilities include:

DAQ for photovoltaics2005 - 2008Parallel to the development of the photovoltaics project, the need for a sophisticated DAQ-system for the power plants arose. Together with iPLON, a solution provider for building automation and demand side management, a completely new, web-based DAQ-system for PV monitoring was developed.My responsibilities include:
