Supervised the recruitment, training and work of one accounting technician. Verified that all accounting policies were being followed including keeping formal records of authorized signatures. Maintained vendor W9’s and performed annual 1099 reporting. Audited, verified and reviewed all A/P invoices to ensure they had been properly coded and all supporting documentation was attached. Performed daily check run reconciliation. Performed month end closing for A/P and general ledger accounts related to A/P.

Knowledge of standard payroll practice, procedures, systems and terminology. Processed bi-weekly payroll for 300 employees. Responsible for stop payments and handling of all garnishments. Analyzed and evaluated technical payroll issues. Performed all payroll support functions required to produce and support payroll needs, including tax deposit transmittal, 401k reporting, management reports, and verification/tracking of vacation, sick, holiday, and overtime pay per federal and state wage/hour laws. Safeguarded and kept confidential employee payroll records, wages, garnishments and other information deemed confidential.
