To obtain a position as a middle/high school Spanish teacher.
Bonita Unified School District. Spanish II classes. Planned and implemented California standards-based curriculum in grammar, reading, and oral language. Prepared and administered exams. Managed classes of up to 38 students.
Assisted Latino taxpayers of Indiana per telephone, correspondence, and in-person contact. Translated state tax documents into Spanish. Assisted in the organization of Latino focused tax assistance department. Created and implement strategic plan for Latino outreach initiative.
Served as an intern during summers of 2006, 2007, and 2008.
Taught various subjects to a diverse group of inner-city students, grades 1-6, including ELL, GATE, and special needs.
Taught a broad curriculum to 23 bilingual fourth graders. Conducted weekly afterschool tutoring sessions. Adapted curriculum to ELL needs. Developed assessment tools. Participated in parent conferences, school-wide special events, and grade distribution.
