I personally feel that coveting for Academic Excellence has become overrated, especially in Singapore where many perceive it as the fundamentals to achieve great things in life. However, I value education otherwise, I see it as a form of opportunity given to me and a once-in-a-lifetime experience. I cannot deny that academic results is essential to help us in developing as an individual, but what is more significant then the end results is the process of learning. I view education as a platform for opportunities, as many doors have been opened to uncover and develop my potential to its fullest.
Also if it were not for my eagerness to strive for educational-satisfaction, I would still be attending Junior College, instead of transferring to a Polytechnic. I chose to abandon the conventional route, after a year spent in JC, and went ahead to begin an educationally fulfilling journey in Ngee Ann Polytechnic's Psychology and Community Service course. My passion for Psychology is comparison to that of an eternally burning flame. Nonetheless, I have not felt a tinge of regret for leaving the system, which many perceive as better, on the contrary, I am enjoying every moment spent in NP.
Apart from my philosophies of education, I have an outgoing personality and enjoys interacting with people. I fell in love with dancing ever since I was forced to attend Classical ballet classes. Dancing has always been in every phase of my life, as it gives me a sense of satisfaction after every performance. I pursue living life to the fullest, thus you can always see me signing up for random classes to experience new things. The downside of that would be trying to juggle all the activities whilst competing with time. Yet from that it allows me to manage my time wisely by prioritising, in addition it leaves me with a greater sense of satisfaction after achieving them.
My dreams are simple, that is to open a Japanese curry rice shop and a not-so-typical Matchmaking Agency.
I am currently still receiving tertiary education and am not planning to get a job anytime soon. Nonetheless, I'm sure this resume will come in handy in the near future.
