Operations Manager

Bridge Medical Orthopedics

Exclusive U.S. distributor of Homefit, a portable, mechanical, deep vein thrombosis (DVT) prevention device, durable medical equipment, pain and scar topical creams, and pharmaceuticals.

Create all marketing materials including print, video, digital, and online as well as manage marketing materials for trade shows such as American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS). Customize print marketing materials and operational forms for distributors and sales representatives.

Administer SugarCRM system and company website including the product purchasing system for all orders, shipments, and record-keeping in Quickbooks.

Set up and manage all company technology including video conference calls and internal Mac Mini server. Maintain all company documents using a cloud content management system allowing sales representatives and distributors to access marketing materials and reports.

Communicate with customers, sales representatives, distributors, vendors, and manufacturers regarding product updates, issues, questions, and malfunctions.

Schedule and organize conference calls and provide pertinent meeting documents. Plan meetings for employees,

distributors and sales representatives and travel arrangements for those coming to the Lenexa, Kansas office. Provide meeting support and record meeting minutes.

Reorganized the advertising/underwriting and business departments. Trained and managed students working in sales, design, marketing, and business positions.

Maintained sales and customer service relationships with vendors, national youth advertising agencies, local and regional advertisers, university departments as well as community and student consumers.

Created and managed four budgets for the student media organizations. Handled billing, collections and accounts payable.

Managed employment and payroll of 50+ students during the months of August through April.

Managed the 100+ student publications inventory of technology including video, audio, notebook computer, and tablet equipment.

Volunteer executive board member of national college newspaper business and advertising managers organization.

Responsibilities included: billing member newspapers for dues; collecting member information sheets; developing yearly budgets and financial statements; filing appropriate tax forms; maintaining CNBAM’s permanent records; preparing and signing checks for payment of bills; billing and collecting from newsletter advertisers; handling convention financial planning; preparing membership certificates for new members; and maintaining and upgrading the newsletter mailing list. Also record the minutes of the Executive Board and other meetings, and send copies to all Executive Board members.
