Help co-found and currently edit Notes Magazine, an Oxford literature and arts publication. Skills include leadership, delegating tasks, proofreading to tight deadlines, self-taught proficient knowledge of Indesign to lay out magazine, use of Gmail as a larger organization (i.e. tagged e-mails), use of Excel to organize magazine design and layout, events design and management.
Single-handedly founded and designed Thick Zine, a website aimed at a teenage female audience, for the discussion of race and image issues using art mediums such as poems and collages. In this role, I created a publicity campaign using Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, personalised mixtapes on music-sharing sites such as 8tracks.com, newsletters via email and and blog ‘shoutouts’.
Designed, created and wrote the zine Please Fold Here using Adobe Indesign, created publicity campaigns, opened zine shop on Etsy.com.
Work with staff and students from the English Faculty to improve university admissions. Public speaker and hostess at faculty open days. Helped redesign prospectus as part of a student and tutor committee.
Stockroom, till assistant and recovery assistant during the busy festive period
Waitressed at various events across Gloucestershire i.e. business guild celebration at Cheltenham Racecourse, wedding in Stow-on-the-Wold. Worked as a chambermaid at the Ellensborough Park Hotel, in Cheltenham.
