Riverside Behavioral Center is a Baker Act Receiving facility and is part of Charlotte Regional Medical Center. Functioning in the charge nurse role with five years supervisory experience. Able to interpret age specific data. Knowledge of population specific assessment, recognizing psychological levels and developmental patterns. Able to provide for population specific appropriate stimulation and learning needs. Able to accurately administer medications and monitor side effects. Able to develop therapeutic relationships with patients and families. Skilled in preparing and maintaining appropriate medical record documentation. Provides and supervises direct and indirect care to patients utilizing the nursing process and according to the philosophies, policies and procedures, and nursing standards of care set by CRMC/RBC, Florida Department of Children and Families, Florida Mental Health Act, and JCAHO. Ensures safe patient care, while maintaining effictive communication and unit efficiency. Float charge on dual diagnosis/detox unit and adult psychiatric units.
